If you haven’t already, fly over to the Faron Woods. If you land at the In the Woods bird statue, you’ll be able to get a piece of heart quickly. (If you don’t have the In the Woods bird statue unlocked yet, it is at the far southern point of the lower level of the woods, near two shortcut logs to the you may or may not have pushed off upper level ledges yet.). Page 7 of the full game walkthrough for Operencia: The Stolen Sun. You now can safely tackle the next boss. I was level 7-8 with my characters. Chapter 4 (Deva's Fortress) Chapter 2.
These days it’s really hard to surprise gamers. That’s why indie market offers its wildest, most unpredictable and unconventional experiments with the gameplay. And, the developers would do anything to stand out from the rest. Naturally, this leads to the development of truly extraordinary games. Today, October 15, 2015, one such game is being released on Steam - Mushroom 11, developed by Untame.
Mushroom 11 is a quest of destruction and survival. This game will give you an unforgettable experience and allow you to feel what it’s like to be a new biological species. You can also call it a mushroom puzzle or a mushroom platformer. Here, it’s all about self-destruction and shape-shifting, which allows you to manipulate things around. You take control of a new fungus, which is capable of immediate regeneration. Due to this ability, you can move, absorb objects, and change your structure and size.
The events of the game take place in a post-nuclear world, and apparently, people are long gone. But being an indestructible mushroom with your ability to regenerate, you can transform into infinite number of forms and thereby modify your body for the purpose of the most comfortable and successful navigation through the game levels.
Here are the first five chapters with tips and tricks how to go about the most difficult parts in the game.
Chapter 1
The first level is really simple, as it introduces you to the game mechanics and can be finished really quickly. You begin in the hole in the ground and make your way through a desolate city, both over and underground. The scenery consists of destroyed buildings and tunnels, with a few bits of lava here and there.
All you need is two mouse buttons to be able to control and manipulate the structure of the green fungus blob. The left button is an eraser of a bigger size and allows you to quickly move and shape yourself. While the right mouse button is a much thinner eraser and is needed for finer cutting and distribution of the body mass.
On your way, you can collect blue fluorescent mushrooms and activate checkpoints that gain more and more importance as you progress through the chapters. Each level has a boss fight at the end and this introductory chapter has one, as well, which is probably the only challenging part. Here are a few tips how to beat it:
As it shoots fireballs everywhere, try to get at least a little bit of your mushroom’s body mass onto one of its arms and quickly erase the rest. This way you can get from one arm to another collecting all the blossoms.
At the end of the fight wait for it to drown in the lava and then you have to carefully sneak into the tunnel below the ground to be able to finish the chapter.
Chapter 2
This chapter is already much more difficult than the first one. As you start playing, the first tunnel becomes a huge problem from the get-go, and then as you progress the challenges become even harder.
You also meet some new species around, such as spiders that can destroy your structure, unless you absorb them from above. Spiders also indicate the presence of a certain boss at the end. Here are some tricks how to get there and finish him:
Up to the half point of the level, you will encounter numerous tunnels that will require the use of the right mouse button – the fine eraser. The real fun starts afterwards, when you get to the huge pool of purple acid. The only way to the other side is a fence-like structure. Here you need to be both very fast and very precise, otherwise you can easily fall down into the acid. Apply a constant pressure on the mushroom with your left button and constantly support it from below.
At the end, you do encounter a giant spider where you have to swallow his eyeballs that appear below and above him. So you will have to move upwards on his legs to get them and go back down. At first it seems pretty easy, just like the boss from the first chapter, but this one is actually much more aggressive. Here, you need to use the teeter-totter to get to the top of his head. Erase yourself to the minimum size and wait at the other side, so the boss launches you into the air with his legs. From there on it’s really easy to go back down and grab the last eyeball.
Chapter 3
The third level introduces both the new scenery – a countryside with clean water, and new mechanics – spraying. Also, you need to use other objects to destroy walls made of haystacks, which is quite easy.
The problems begin with moving platforms and spraying machines. Here are a few ways how to deal with them:
When on top of a moving platform you need to be patient and apply just enough pressure on the sprayer and at the exactly right time. As soon as the small part of the chopped fungus lands in the right place, quickly erase the rest to shift the focus.
Later on you will encounter hanging garlands. And, these things are tricky. Again, it’s all about precision and patience, so use that right mouse button well. You need to squeeze through one bid at a time and that’s how you progress on top.
The boss at the end spits exploding balloons. You need to shape up yourself in a way that prompts the balloons to explode near the boss’ limbs. As you beat it, go on top of the boss and make your way up through another garland, and then you’re done.
Chapter 4
We go back to the industrial environment with all sorts of machines. They become your main obstacles here – some are simple, but others will make you spend a lot of time thinking and trying things out.
The most difficult parts are the ones with the rotating gears that require some serious shape-shifting from your behalf. Here are a few tricks how to go about these hindrances:
The whole point of dealing with rotating gears is in becoming a proper medium. So, make that fungus of yours shape up in a way that it initiates the gears to rotate in the direction and with the speed that you need. Think like an engineer and you should be fine.
The boss at the end of the chapter is another rotating machine that shoots rockets. Here, you need to go up by using a hook and the platforms. As it shoots its rockets, quickly push forward into the gaps left by the rockets and a tiny explosion will damage the boss. Do it a few times until it stops and get inside its “belly”. Then, you need to move the blob inside this machine to be able to move it forward through the pool of lava towards the finish.
Chapter 5
Chapter number five rehashes some of the elements from the previous levels, but this time it makes them much, much more difficult. Later on you will be introduced to the rail cart and its specific mechanics, involving velocity and momentum.
The hardest part comes when the cart speeds up, the mushroom loses its grip and falls on the electric rails. If you want to survive, then follow these simple tips:
When inside the moving cart, consistently erase the fungus and shape it up in a way that the mass pushes itself in the opposite direction of the momentum force. In this way you will not fall out of the cart.
As you move forward, you will encounter upward flows of steam. You can use them to lift yourself up in the air. But this is a bit tricky, as the steam gives you more speed the smaller you are, but if you get too small you will fall down. That’s why keep your size just enough to be able to go up and don’t overdo with the erasing when being already in the air.
Also, stay away from fire-spitting worms – these will kill you real fast, or just absorb them by falling on top of them.
In order to kill the boss, let's call him the Lava Worm, you need to accomplish two things. First, you need to get rid of the four smaller fire worms hanging on the walls and the ceiling. This will make the big worm to show itself from the top of his hiding. Second, you will notice that his body structure resembles that of a garland, which means you have to get to the top of the ceiling and absorb the isthmus that keeps him hanging. This will cause him to fall down into the lava pool and free the tunnel above. Get in that tunnel using the steam flow and move upwards to finish the chapter.
Mushroom 11 is hard and it’s great – puzzles should be hard. It’s also very original and nothing like this has ever been done before. Developing skills and staying mindful are the two main keys that will allow you to beat the game. So, if you’re looking for a smart, inventive, challenging puzzle with great physics that also looks good, then give Mushroom 11 a try.
On top of that, the game is scored by one of the most influential electronic music bands in the world – The Future Sound of London. The soundtrack perfectly fits the mood of the game and helps you keep calm and focused. If you want to hear more of their genius creations in the same vein, check their albums “Lifeforms” and “Dead Cities” that have probably influenced the Mushroom 11 themes.
The world created by the Untame developers has a lot of potential for growth, and the set of unique mechanics introduced in this game could be taken even further. So, the sequel is definitely welcome with more of that Future Sound of London goodness.
Let us know what you think about Mushroom 11 and its fantastic soundtrack in the comments section below!
Chapter 1 has 16 pieces of 'hidden content' to be found.1. You gave the right to the Nameless Wisp in Croakwood. This is the first of the Riddlewisps, you must answer them correctly in order for it to count as 'hidden content'.
If you answer it incorrectly, you'll have to fight it. The answer for this one is, 'I didn't take your name' and 'I don't know it, but Katarina does'. Your reward is an epic quality ring.5.
You laid the hanged man's ghost to rest in Croakwood. You will come across both the body of someone who was robbed and hanged, and further north, his ghost, he is unaware that he is dead, tell Katarina that you want the ghost to follow you, and bring the ghost back to his body at the south of the map. The monsters won't attack him.6. You found the Ancient Coin in Croakwood. There is a clearing on top of a small hill, south of the scarecrow. Kill the monsters up here and the 'ancient coin' will drop, make sure you pick it up, you'll need it.7. You found the Weapon Oil in Croakwood. This is why you need that coin from earlier, click on the wishing well, some elite harpies will spawn, kill them all and they will drop the 'weapon oil'. Make sure you pick it up, once again, you'll need it.
It won't work unless you got the coin.8. You removed Exacalibur from the Stone in Croakwood. You guessed it, this is why you needed the weapon oil, you can't get the sword without it. Simply click the sword and it will drop, it's an epic quality sword, great if you're a protector. If you aren't, dont sell it, remember that you can forge two epics to get a new one, so it still has a use.9. You found the carcass of the stray goat in Gallowsbog. In Markovna there is a drunk man near the shop, mumbling about how he fed a goat near the river a diamond.
Well it isn't just drunken rambling, the goat is real, but unfortunately, it's dead, it probably choked on the diamond the drunk idiot force fed it. Click it and it drops a 'diamond essence'.10. You pressed the Big Red Button in Gallowsbog. This one is simple, in the area where you find the rusty bombs the shopkeeper wants you to get, there is a big red button. Click it, soldiers spawn, kill them for some loot.11. You followed the Wisp through Gallowsbog. There is a wisp here that looks identical to the Riddlewisp you saw earlier, but it doesn't want to talk, it wants you to follow it. Follow it westward until it stops, it will then summon buddies and attack you, kill it for some loot.12.
You found the Werewolf Spiritstone in Gallowsbog. If you did not spare the Werewolf pack leader in Croakwood, you cannot get this. You will find this during the quest to get the electrical essence for the blacksmith in Markovna. After clicking on the required machine and attempting to leave the area, one of the werewolves in the nearby cage will stop you and say he was looking for you.
He has an epic quality trophy for you, a gift for sparing his boss. Make sure you kill all the soldiers before you click the machine, the soldiers can kill the werewolves which means no trophy for you.13. You defeated the Frenzied Forest Spirit in Gallowsbog.Throughout Gallowsbog, there are 8 runestones, find and click them all to summon the Frenzied Forest Spirit in the north-east of the map.

All the statues are marked on your map.15. You found the Mysterious Key at the Statue of Borislav. In order to get this, you need to get 3 gemstones found throughout Chapter 1.There is one in Croakwood. One in the Ink RiftAnd one in GallowsbogOnce you have all 3, go to Markovna and click on the statue of former King Borislav, the gemstones will be inserted into 3 empty slots on the statue, and the mysterious key will drop, make sure you pick it up, you'll need it later.16. You found the BunnyslayerAfter getting the quest for the electrical essence from the blacksmith in Markovna, talk to the blacksmith again, he'll offer you a turn with his tools for 100 gold, accept. Van Helsing might be fantastic at using weapons, making one however is another story.
The blacksmith offers to get rid of the junk Van Helsing made, instead tell him you wish to keep it. You will get the quest item, bent sword. Once you have that, go and talk to an NPC called 'Nutty Stefan'.
He can be found in the church, and also doing an anti-clockwise lap past the statue. He will comment on the sword, saying it's a demon slayer, respond with 'no, it's the bunny slayer'. The item will turn into an epic quality sword which has rubbish stats. It's only use is for killing a bunny boss found later on, but honestly, if you have trouble killing it without the sword, you probably have bigger things to worry about, like being terrible.
Remember, dont sell it, you can reforge two epics into another one, yes the item is bad, but it's still technically an epic, so it still has a use.Hope this helped, Chapter 2 coming soon. Chapter 2 has 13 pieces of 'hidden content' to be found.1. You found the Fifth Element in the Dreadworks. This is the second Riddlewisp, once again, answer it correctly for it to count as hidden content, a wrong answer will make it become hostile. The answer it is looking for is 'Death?'
You found the Glowing Rat Liver in the Rookery. This is identical to the white chicken in Markovna, right down to the function of the item it drops, this time however, it's a white rat. Chase it to make it explode and drop the item.3. You found Darko's hat in the Rookery. When you turn in the quest 'Clean Water', the questgiver, Darko, will offer you his hat, simply accept his offer. The hat is an epic quality trophy.4. You caught the Mutant Fish at the fishing spot in the Rookery.Same fishing spot as last time, but this time, crack open a nearby crate to find the 'mutant bait' then click the fishing rod again.6. You fed the Mutant Fish to the cat in the Rookery.Right near the fishing spot is a cat, that somewhat blends into the background and can be tricky to spot. Katarina suggests feeding you newly caught fish to it, for the sake of experimentation.
Take her advice, drop the fish near the cat and it will run over and eat it.7. You found Zorro's hat at the Sewage Plant.Talk to this Beggar, he will ask you why you fight. Tell him that you want to protect the innocent and fight evil, he will then give you the 'Hat Of The Fox', an epic quality trophy.8.
You found the entrance to the Beggar King's Hideout. This one requires a bit of charity. You must talk to every beggar and give them all 50 gold. That includes all the beggars in the Rookery. And all the beggars in the Sewage Plant. When you talk to the last one, he will mention his master, and how he needs saving himself, tell him that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and accept his quest, the Ink Portal will open up in the north-west corner of the Sewage Plant.9. You overheard the alchemist and found the treasure at the Sewage Plant. The conversation itself is fairly easy to find, it's on the northern most part of the map, the actual treasure they talk about however, is a bit trickier to find. They mention that it's 'behind the mansion', but it's actually closer to the Ink Gate more than anything else. It's just below the Ink Gate, easy to find once you know where it is.10.
You have broken the Mysterious Control Panel at the Abandoned Research Station. You can come to the location of the panel, but you can't actually do anything with it until you have restored power. One you have, you can see an Ink Portal and the panel, which should now have a green light. You can try to enter the portal, but it will just move you to where the control panel is.
Press it, there is a chance for harpies to spawn, or for an essence to drop from that Ink Portal, keep pressing the control panel until you cant any more to get this.11. You bought the treasure map and found the hidden island in the Ink.I'm guessing this one has changed from the original, as the treasure isn't in the Ink, its at the Industrial Port. You can get the map from Todor Schimko after you get the generator plans from him, and he returns to the Secret Lair.
He offers to sell you some more documents, one of them is a treasure map worth 8000 gold. Note, you don't need to choose between the remaining documents, you can buy them both. The treasure will be marked on the map, so don't worry about trying to find it.12. You found a 'certain magical ring' at the Industrial Port. You'll find a Domovoy, called Domovoy Baggins, he has extremely high defence and keeps talking about his 'precious'. I don't think there's any need to point out what the easter egg here is referring to. Kill him to grab his ring.13. You found the Domovoy's Sword at the Industrial Port.Remember that Domovoy that got away from you back at the Gorgon Pass?
Turns out he didn't survive the fall, but at least we now know why he wanted to get away from you so badly, he was carrying an epic quality dagger. Click his body and he drops the Umbralist weapon.Bonus, there are 3 gemstones in Chapter 2.One in the Dreadworks. One in the Abandoned Research StationOne in the Industrial PortThe gem in the Abandoned Research Station can't be reached until after you have restored power. The one in the Industrial Port is a part of the hidden treasure, so you can't get it until you buy the map. The gemstones have no purpose in Chapter 2, but they do in Chapter 3, so make sure you get them.Chapter 2 done, hopefully I can get Chapter 3 out sooner rather than later:). Chapter 3 has 10 pieces of 'hidden content' to be found.1. You found Borislav's Sceptre in the Ink Realm of The Statue. This one is a big one, remember those gems that we got back in Chapter 2?
This is where they are used. There is a statue located in the main square of Old Town. Click it to insert the 3 gemstones. It will create an Ink Portal, inside you will find another 3 statues, one that is surrounded by treasure chests, and unfortunately a magical ward so you cant get close. There are another 6 gems you need to find to deactivate the ward, 4 are found on elite monsters, the other 2 are found on a Domovoy's body.Once you have the 6 gemstones, insert them into the 2 statues that you can get to, and it will disable the magical ward.Remember that key we picked up way back in Chapter 1? Click on the now accessable statue and it will drop Borislav's Sceptre, an Epic quality trophy.
This will not work unless you have that key.2. You found all the Ragged Boots in The Old Town.In Old Town there are 3 hidden piles of rubble, each one drops a boot, pick them up to tick this one off.3. You found the hidden treasure in the Old Town.Near the castle where the resistance fighters are trapped is a lion statue that you can click, and when you do it drops a fairly decent amount of gold.4.
You found the Mutant Fish at stalls in The Old Town.Simply go here and click the fish stall and the item will drop, use it to get a random rare quality item.5. You found all the Advertising Columns in the Old Town.As the description says, simply click on all the Advertising Columns to get this one.6.
You found the 'Wisphunter's Guide to the Ink' in The Old Town. This is the third Riddlewisp, the answer it is looking for is '42'.7. You allied with the Werewolves in the Old Town.If you spared the packleader way back in Chapter 1, you can talk to this packleader, Van Helsing will offer to join forces and he will accept. He and his buddies will follow you around a small area of the map and destroy every monster in their way.8. You've found the secret area in the Inktide Tunnels. The Inktide Tunnels are the second tower defence minigame. I honestly am unsure as to what the actual requirements are to open the portal, but what I do know was that it was at the end of wave 2, and I hadn't let any monsters past, maybe that's it, I'm not 100% sure though.
The portal leads to a chest with some pretty good loot.9. You found the hidden Ink Portal in the Secret Laboratory. In the area you'll find a Sewage Worker, offer him something to eat, and he'll open the portal for you.10.
You defeated the minions of the Marquis of Soot at the Gables.I don't know why it says that the minions are in the Gables, they aren't, they're in the Rooftop Mayhem, the area after the Gables. Anyway, theres 4 enemies called the Chimney Sweep Minions, kill all 4. Chapter 4 has 26 pieces of 'hidden content' to be found.1. You've found the secret area in the Subterranean Incursion. This one is similar to the other secret portal in the tower defence minigame. I'm fairly sure that this one opens when you build a certain amount of traps, so focus on quantity rather than quality.2.
You've found the hidden prison section. When on the quest to rescue Telsa, you'll find a man in the cell next to him. Open the door and he'll ask for money, give him some, and he'll tell you that the cell next to him has a secret door in it.3. You've found the Mask of the Cannibal.Inside the secret Holding Facility the beggar told you about, you'll find a man asking to be released, he swears he isn't a cannibal. Open his door, inside his cell, in the back-right corner is a crate, smash it open to find the mask.4. You've found Dr Jekyll's tincture. In the same area you'll find a giant green man in a cell, you have the option to let him out or leave him. Let him out, he'll rampage and you'll have to kill him, pick up the item he drops.5.
You've found the Mushroom Expert Certificate. On your journey through the Thunderhead Mountains, you'll find a lone windmill, there is a sign on it that says the Mushroom Expert is out for a walk. You'll find his glowing body not far away, up the road. Click on his body and grab the item he drops. You can sell the certificate to Dr.
Dampf for 2000 gold.6. You've found the Woodcarver's treasure.Up the road from the Mushroom Expert is a totem similar to the one we saw back in chapter 1. Much like that one, simply click it for free gold.7. You've found the Scarecrow's treasure.A bit further up the road, you'll find a similar scarecrow to the one in Croakwood, luckily, clicking this one will drop an epic quality trophy, not try to kill us.8. You've found Don Qijote's lance.Across the road from the scarecrow, there's a windmill with a lance sticking out of it, click it to get a new item to use on resistance missions.9.
You've found a goldfish.Further up the road you will find a frozen goldfish in the river as you cross a bridge. Make sure you pick it up, you'll need it later.10. You've found the Dungeonkeeper's armour.Near the ice barrier in the village is a house on a hill, go to it and you'll find some armor on an altar. You have the option to take it or leave it, take it.11. You've called forth the giants with the Giant Gong.Right in the center of the village is a big gong, click it and kill the giants it summons.12.
You've revealed that Woody is a ghoul.Just north of the gong is an NPC called Woody, talk to him, and offer him something to eat. He will then realise he is a ghoul and attack you.13. You've looted the body of the dead young hunter.During the quest where you venture into the Ink, you'll find the young boy's body hidden amongst some bushes. Click it and he dropps an epic ring. Make sure you don't miss it, you can't return to this area once you've finished the quest.14.
You've found the secret area in the Invasion of the Rat-Things.Another portal in a tower defence minigame. This time I'm pretty sure you have to fully upgrade 5 traps for the portal to open, however, traps that you can't upgrade, automatically count as fully upgraded, this includes recyclers.15. You've found the Afterlife ring. This is in the first room of the Cold Caverns, there is a clickable skeleton in the top-left of the pile that will drop the ring.16. You've evicted the Domovoy from the minecart. At the location marked on the map, you'll find a hanging minecart that moves, click it, Katarina will shoot it and a Domovoy will fly out of it.17. You've looted the body of the Grey Wizard.Further down the Cavern, there is a bridge off the main path, on it you will see a body that has sunlight shining on it. Click it and it drops an epic sword and an epic staff.18. You've found a Rare Ore.Still in the caverns, you'll find a 'small skeleton', click it, listen to his story, then click on the ore he was mining and grab the item that drops.19.
You've saved the Bomb Expert. You'll find him on the other side of the landslide that blocked your path, help him, but don't take his advice, take Katarina's instead and you will save him.20. You've found the Dungeonkeeper's amulet. At one of the Spiritwalker camps, theres an altar with skulls on it, click the skull in the center and the amulet will drop.21. You've found the runestone from the old well.Do not go to the well at the ghost village first, you will summon the monsters and this will be unavailable. You first need to talk to the imprisoned merchant at the Spiritwalker camp, then talk to the Spiritwalker leader, then go to the well. Katarina will mention that a stone is missing, choose to investigate, go to the merchant and he will tell you where the stone is.22. You've found the Masterfully Botched Armour.I don't know why they called it armor, it's actually an amulet.
Anyway, you'll find 2 giant idols and some elite monsters nearby, kill them all, listen to the idol's conversation and grab the amulet they give you.23. You've proven the existence of the Yeti.At one of the Spiritwalker camps, you'll find a set of tribal drums, randomly click them quickly, and you'll hear a Yeti roar. You've found the Spiritwalkers' relic. This is a part of the quest to save the ghost village. The relic is loacted in the lair of some powerful giants, kill them, and look for a pile of skeletons. One of the skeletons near the top is clickable, it will drop the relic.
I recommend keeping it, the quest item turns into an epic trophy.25. You defeated the Black Knight.Defeated is a bit of a strong word, considering the Black Knight is just a stump, all you have to do is talk to him.26.
You've won The Rock from the stone heads. This is achieved during the quest to gain access to the peak. All of the giant idols have a question for you, you must answer them all correctly in order to be rewarded. If you go south from the questgiver and talk to the idols in a clockwise direction, the correct answers are: Stone, because it the hardest, That would be a mountain, Wet stones, The mountain and A mountain. Notice a theme? After getting all the questions correct, talk to the questgiving idol, and he'll give you The Rock.Bonus: Collect 3 moonstones in the GiantwoodsOne moonstone can be found by the entrance on a corpse with a? Above it, you must choose to take the stone. You get a 'giant moonstone' by agreeing to help the Perun follower close the portal. The last is located on one of the corpses in this area.Make sure you grab all 3, you'll need them later.Bonus: Engraved Iron Key and the Ring Of Guidance.I'm unsure if these will help you get hidden content in an upcoming chapter or not, but I will leave it here just in case, if they dont i'll remove this part. Go and talk to this giant, he sells 2 types of items, really good stuff, and junk. Make sure, that you buy the key and the ring at the very least though.I recommend getting the ring as soon as possible, as the secret instructions unlock as you deal damage, the quicker you get it, the more enemies will be left for you to deal damage to.
Chapter 5 has 12 pieces of 'hidden content' to be found.1. You've found the chest full of essences.Another simple one in the Crystal Workshop, go to the location, click on the purple crate and fight off a couple of Chimeras.5.
You've summoned the chimera by turning the statues.Similar to the frog statues in chapter 1, simply turn the statues until they all face inward and you'll summon the Chimera Elder.6. You've stolen the treasure of the Thieves' Guild. At the dead end, amongst a lot of junk is a door, stand next to it, you'll hear a conversation between thieves. A barrel outside the door will now be available to click, do so.7. You thawed the Goldfish and made a wish. (Well someone did anyway.)Inside the Foundry, at the end of a catwalk, you'll find an item called a Kettle, click it and you'll have a conversation with the Goldfish you found in the last chapter. This will not work unless you found the Goldfish.8.
You've found a secret area in the Foundry.Go to the area I marked on the map, you will find a door. Approach it and Katarina will comment that she can see light coming from behind it.9.
